Goldbergs Fine Foods Launches Month Long Book Drive With Reach Out & Read GeorgiaGoldbergs Fine Foods, Atlanta’s original New York-style deli and award winning restaurant, is hosting a book drive in collaboration with Reach Out & Read – Georgia, a nonprofit that champions the positive effects of shared reading and engaging in other language-rich activities with young children. Throughout August, Goldbergs locations will rally behind the cause by accepting new book donations tailored for infants to five-year-olds. As a token of appreciation, each contributor will receive a complimentary bagel and cream cheese from Goldbergs.

“Our team is honored to support Reach Out & Read Georgia, an organization that strengthens families through nurturing shared reading,” said Bradley Saxe, CO-CEO of Goldbergs Group. “Within each of us lies a treasured book from our childhood, and it is our aspiration that our community unites to create similar lasting memories for children across Georgia. With a rich history spanning over five decades in the vibrant Atlanta area, we are deeply proud to call this city our home. Understanding the importance of aiding our fellow residents and contributing to the regions we serve, we believe that together, we can genuinely bring about a positive impact.”

For an opportunity to win an exclusive prize basket, guests can contribute a $25 donation here. The prize basket includes a $200 Goldbergs gift card and exclusive Goldbergs Swag!

“We are thrilled to partner with Goldbergs Fine Foods, an organization that shares our commitment to nourishing healthy minds and bodies. Books and reading provide language nutrition for a child’s young developing brain. This partnership with Goldbergs will heighten awareness across Georgia about the vital role corporate philanthropy can play in advancing our mission, and together, we aim to reach 50% of Georgia’s young children by 2030,” said Amy Erickson, Executive Director of Reach Out and Read Georgia. “Reading is not just a fundamental skill; it fuels a young child’s brain, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and well-being. Through our collaboration, we strive to create a brighter future for our children, one book at a time, one donation at a time.”

Suggested donations for the Goldbergs Book Drive include books for ages newborn to five. All donations should be new. Every donor will receive a free bagel with cream cheese. The free bagel offer is valid through August 31, 2024.

The Goldbergs Book Drive welcomes contributions at all Goldbergs locations, excluding the airport. All donations will directly benefit Reach Out and Read Georgia.
