Popular Vegan Protein, Pronounced “keen-wah”, Introduced to Better-for-You Menu
Villa Enterprises Management, announced Green Leaf’s restaurants, “The Feel Good, Taste Good, Be Good Choice!” have added Sesame Asian Quinoa to the menu. Quinoa, the golden grain of the Inca’s not only tastes great, but it also has numerous health benefits. Over the past decade, the “Andean Superfood” has become very popular, and often mistaken for a grain. Though it is often called a whole grain, quinoa isn’t a grain at all – it’s actually a seed. Quinoa, (pronounced keen-wah), is a chenopod (cousin to a beet); rich in minerals, it’s the only vegetable that’s a complete protein, low in fat and gluten free! The new Sesame Asian Quinoa joins the menu at all 38 locations today for a limited time. For a list of locations click here:
“Green Leaf’s addition of quinoa to the menu is sure to satisfy our customers’ desire for complete vegetarian protein options,” said Anthony Scotto, Chief Executive Officer, Villa Enterprises. “And it is another great way for us to deliver on our promise to our guests of Beyond Great Salads.”
Guests can power up their Pick & Mix Salad with the new Honey Sesame Quinoa Topping or a Sesame Asian Quinoa Wrap with a low-carb flour tortilla, spinach leaves, cucumber, pickled onion and wasabi dressing.
Green Leaf’s specialty is made-to-order while you watch salads. Guests choose from several fresh ingredients, dressings and toppings and a friendly team member tosses it for you!
