The Pizza Chalet has been open since 1974 and Scott worked there as a bus boy when he was in high school in the 1980s. His chance to become the owner came in 1992 when the business went up for sale.

Scott says he was skeptical when he first heard he was the winner, thinking this is just someone trying to sell me something. But over the course of the conversation, he quickly realized, “I won! WOW! Good things really do happen”.
