South Miami Gets a Taste of New York this Fall with Expanded Menu & Sit Down Service

Hank and Harry's Deli Announces Second Location Opening Early Fall 2017The team behind Hank and Harry’s Deli, Buzzy Sklar and Richard Booth, are thrilled to announce the opening of their second location in the early fall of 2017.  The popular Miami Beach eatery will be bringing their signature New York favorites to South Miami.  Located at 5958 South Dixie Highway, the second location will feature an expanded menu as well as full sit down restaurant service.  “We are so proud to be opening such a wonderful establishment in the neighborhood that I have lived in for over 50 years. We feel Hank and Harry’s Deli will become an instant classic in the area,” says co-owner Richard Booth.

Hank and Harry’s offers an upscale deli concept serving breakfast, lunch and dinner where guests will have the option to dine-in via full sit down service, takeout, or delivery and large scale off-site catering also available.  The 3,000 square foot space will feature indoor and outdoor seating for up to 125.  Designed by architect Enrique René Gonzalez, this location will feature Hank and Harry’s signature décor adorned with gold ceilings, black and white tiled flooring, lined with subway tile with rounded banquets along the walls.

Staying true to their roots, the authentic New York style menu will still feature Jewish deli classics including “Mile-High” Corned Beef and Pastrami sandwiches, bagels, bialys and ‘schmears’, knishes, matzoh ball soup and Black & White cookies.   The expanded menu will include a gourmet French fry menu featuring Loaded Baked Potato Fries, Jersey style Disco Fries with cheese and gravy, jalapeno cheese, and shaved pastrami and cheese fries.  Putting a new twist on the made-to-order salads already available, they will now be offered in a wrap option-think-The Chef Salad Wrap.  New, heartier dinner options will include open-faced brisket and meatloaf sandwiches.  In addition, a Hank & Harry’s Original, Stuffed Knishes where the add-ons are endless including brisket, pastrami, corned beef, turkey pastrami, etc. Traditional Italian favorites will also still decorate the menu including Brooklyn style deli heroes such as “The Hot Italian” and “The Godfather”.

Each item on the menu is fresh and made-to-order and all salads made in-house including chicken, smoked whitefish & tuna as well as deli meats are available to purchase by the pound at the grab-n-go counter. Homemade soups will be featured daily as well as a wide variety of deli burgers, cheesesteaks and authentic NY hotdogs.  The beverage menu will feature a Miami favorite, Panther Coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, lemonade as well as deli staples such as Dr. Brown’s sodas.

Hank and Harry’s is the creation of Richard Booth, long time hospitality veteran and successful Miami restaurateur Buzzy Sklar, of Sliderz and Burger & Beer Joint notoriety, who’s bringing his New York hometown favorites to South Florida.
