IT pros recruited to advance cutting-edge platforms for “the future of eating”
Today, California-based Healthy Dining announced the addition of two information technology professionals to the company’s repertoire of experts.
Steve Palmer and Alex Kang will further the development of Healthy Dining’s new software and digital platforms which are slated to revolutionize “eating” and how Americans personalize dietary recommendations and track nutrients, especially related to dining out, for optimal health. Additionally, the team will develop new software applications designed for the restaurant industry, as well as interfaces for quantified self systems.
Steve Palmer, a technology futurist with decades of experience in the IT world, will lead the development of the company’s technology. Palmer joins Healthy Dining with extensive front- and back-end architectural software development expertise from a variety of industries spanning financial and medical to military and manufacturing. A graduate of Pepperdine University, Palmer began building his career as developing high-end financial analysis software systems with IBM’s mainframes. Over the years, his IT career includes executive roles with Hewlett-Packard, Honeywell, Lawry’s Foods Company and InnovaSystems International. Most recently, he has been teaching computer science at Coleman University in San Diego.
Alex Kang, a recent computer science graduate trained by Palmer, adds cutting-edge technology insight to the team.
“Alex has tremendous capability, aptitude and acumen in computer science. I have trained a lot of IT professionals, but Alex stands out from the rest with his exceptional talent,” said Palmer.
“We are thrilled to have Steve and Alex join our team as we amplify our dedication to contribute to a healthier America. Our emerging technologies have exciting potential to make a real difference in the health and quality of life for anyone who eats every day – which is all of us, right?” Jones-Mueller said. “It’s true, each one of us can gain greater health and well-being by personalizing what we eat to be at our very best.”
