For the entire month of October, Aurelio’s Pizza will be donating $10 for every $50 in e-gift cards purchased at http://www.aureliospizza.com to Advocate Children’s Hospital as part of its annual October fundraising campaign. The following video explains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUSoAOjToy0
Aurelio’s Pizza has been supporting Advocate Children’s Hospital in numerous ways since 1998—a long-term partnership now in its 16th year. This year, Aurelio’s (recently inducted into the Pizza Hall of Fame) is raising awareness of the hospital and expanding its fundraising effort by enlisting all of its customers throughout the US when they go online to purchase e-gift cards. Last year, Aurelio’s raised $15,000. This year, they hope to raise even more.
“Advocate Children’s Hospital was there for me and my family during our time of greatest need,” said Joe Aurelio, president and CEO of Aurelio’s Pizza. “They do so much good for so many children and their families. It’s important to me that all of our Aurelio’s Pizza locations help raise awareness and funds to support their mission. Again this year, we want to build on our heritage of helping Advocate Children’s Hospital by giving Aurelio’s fans the chance to support with a simple click, purchase donate when they buy Aurelio’s Pizza e-gift cards online. Even those Aurelio’s pizza fans that live in markets without our stores can buy e-gift cards for family members who do live in places with Aurelio’s to help the hospital. We’re really hoping our customers will get an early start on their holiday shopping and buy lots of e-gift cards to support the important work of Advocate Children’s Hospital.”
“Advocate Children’s Hospital thanks Aurelio’s for their support and generosity over the years. Their contributions have allowed us to provide the best care for children in the Chicago area and have supported both clinical activities and research. Thanks again Aurelio’s for your generosity,” said David Roberson, MD, pediatric cardiologist, Advocate Children’s Hospital.

With a history as rich and entrenched in the community as the pizza it’s famous for, the very first Aurelio’s restaurant opened on Ridge Road in Homewood, IL as the pride and joy of Joseph A. Aurelio, Jr. who decided to give it a go as a restaurateur at the age of 26. With its legendary “old oven” dating back to 1959 in its Homewood location, Aurelio’s was one of the pioneers in the concept of the Family Pizzeria in the United States and helped to launch pizza into the American lexicon. Since that time, Aurelio’s has become one of Chicagoland’s claims to fame. And, transplanted Chicagoans all over the map have helped to bring their favorite pizzeria franchise to 41 locations across six states, growing a strong fan base for the taste of Aurelio’s. www.AureliosPizza.com
