Darius Songaila and Robertas Javtokas to open Hooters locations in Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia
Hooters of America, LLC, today announced new franchise partner, Hooters Baltics, UAB, has plans to develop the first-ever Hooters locations in the Baltic states as part of a three location development agreement.
Hooters Baltics partners Darius Songaila and Robertas Javtokas, both former Lithuanian national team and EuroLeague high-impact basketball players who have played at the highest level for over 20 years throughout Europe and the United States, will be bringing Hooters to the Baltic States for the first time in 2017. Gintare Songaile, wife of Darius, serves as general manager and marketing for the group.
“Our passion for the game extends beyond the basketball court. Bringing Hooters to the people of the Baltic states, filled with people just as passionate about basketball as we are, will open up a whole new sports-viewing opportunity,” said Darius Songaila, partner of Hooters Baltics. “We are committed to bringing sports, great food and world-famous Hooters Girl hospitality to the Baltic states.”
The first of the three locations is slated to open in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2017, with openings in Estonia and Latvia to follow.
“As an internationally recognized brand, Hooters truly values our relationships with partners like Hooters Baltics. Songaila and Javtokas embody the spirit of teamwork that we look for in our partners and we know they are the perfect duo to bring world-famous Hooters chicken wings and hospitality to the Baltic states for the first time,” said Mark Whittle, chief development officer, Hooters of America. “This entrance into three new countries is part of Hooters international growth and expansion, with more than 135 commitments for future development from franchisees throughout the world.”
The new locations will incorporate the latest design features that deliver the familiar, fun-loving persona of the Hooters brand along with contemporary elements that combine to deliver a one-of-a-kind guest experience.
Hooters continues its acceleration of restaurant openings and is actively seeking qualified franchise partners to open new locations in select markets across the U.S. and around the globe. For more information about becoming a Hooters franchisee, visit hooters.com/franchising.
