Registration now open to join GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS official attempt for the world’s largest sports draft party at Raymond James Stadium on August 2
Fantasy football leaguers, it’s time to go big or go home. Hooters is kicking off this year’s fantasy football season in style by hosting a record-setting draft party in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday, August 2. The first-ever event of this scale is free and groups of friends or individual fans alike are encouraged to pre-register at HootersDraftParty.com to secure a seat and participate in the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS official attempt for the title of world’s largest sports draft party. The Hooters fantasy football draft party will take place from 2-6 p.m. in the West Club at Raymond James Stadium. Season-long prizes and $5,000 cash are up for grabs for all participants, who will enjoy food, drinks, sports celebrity appearances and entertainment in addition to the 15-round draft.
“We considered many NFL cities to host this record-setting event, and Tampa with their large base of passionate football fans along with the first class facility in Raymond James Stadium was determined as our best fit,” said Carl Sweat, chief marketing officer for Hooters. “Hooters is proud to host a thrilling once in a lifetime opportunity for our attendees to be a part of a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempt.”
Participants will arrive to a tailgate party atmosphere that only Hooters can host, with Hooters Girls serving up world-famous chicken wings, ice cold beverages, giveaways and more. Once registered, they will have a chance to rub elbows with professional football players and personalities. The draft will take place in the West Club level of the stadium where participants can snap photos with sweeping views of the field in the background.
A GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS representative will be on site to adjudicate the fantasy football draft and, in order to achieve the title for the world’s largest sports draft party, Hooters will welcome more than 500 fantasy sports devotees to participate. All leagues will have 10 players with their own draft boards, drafting simultaneously for 15-rounds with 60 seconds allowed for each draft pick per round. The manual draft selections will be entered online for each league to continue on for a chance to win cash and prizes from Hooters throughout fantasy football season.
While Hooters will attract the largest fantasy football draft participants in one location, space is limited for this inaugural event, so pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
