Guests can purchase and personalize 2016 Hooters Calendars to be sent to troops overseas as a part of Operation Calendar Drop

Hooters Serves a Free Meal to Those Who Serve this Veterans DayThis Veterans Day, Hooters invites all active-duty and retired military nationwide to enjoy a free meal as a “thank you” for their service. On Wednesday, Nov. 11, all veterans and active-duty military personnel can enjoy an entrée on the house, served up with warm Hooters Girl hospitality, by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location across the country. Hooters also invites its guests to join military support efforts through its annual Operation Calendar Drop program.

“For more than three decades, Hooters has supported the servicemen and women that fight and sacrifice every day for our freedoms,” said Carl Sweat, chief marketing officer for Hooters. “As a token of our appreciation for all that our troops do to serve our country, it’s our honor to serve them this Veterans Day with a delicious meal on the house, served up with world-class Hooters Girl hospitality.”

As part of its military support, Hooters also invites guests to participate in the annual Operation Calendar Drop program by purchasing a 2016 Hooters Calendar and including a message of appreciation and support for the troops. Hooters will collect the personalized calendars and deliver them to U.S. military stationed overseas. This year’s calendar cover features 2015 Miss Hooters International Meagan Pastorchik from the Hooters of North Charleston located in Charleston, South Carolina.

Hooters support for the military community spans decades and has resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars raised for non-profit military organizations. Everyone is invited to share photos of their Veterans Day visit to Hooters via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with the #HootersMakesYouHappy hashtag.

Veterans and active-duty military can choose from a variety of entrées on the Hooters Veterans Day free meal menu, including:

  • Hooters Burger
  • Buffalo Chicken Sandwich
  • Buffalo Chicken Salad
  • 10-Piece Traditional Wings
  • 10-Piece Boneless Wings

Hooters continues to offer its world-famous traditional and boneless chicken wings with buffalo sauce favorites, ranging in heat from mild to Triple Dog Dare, as well as signature sauces and rubs on select Hooters menus, such as teriyaki-style samurai, lemon pepper and chipotle honey. Guests also have an opportunity to satisfy their taste buds with the brand new White Lightnin’ sauce, made with Ole Smoky® Tennessee Moonshine and exclusively available at participating Hooters for a limited time.

The complimentary Veterans Day entrée, ordered off the free meal menu, is redeemable during business hours on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at any Hooters location across the U.S. There is no coupon required to activate the deal, veterans and military personnel just need to present a military ID or proof of service to their Hooters Girl while dining in at their favorite location.
