How Do You Roll? coming to Tucson

The rapidly expanding custom sushi shop, How Do You Roll?, plans to be up and rolling in Tucson by mid February 2012.  The restaurant will be located at 914 E. Speedway Blvd., giving area sushi fans an opportunity to create their own rolls with unique ingredients.

“Our restaurant appeals to both sushi lovers and newcomers because it gives the consumer complete control over our ingredients,” said Yuen Yung, chief executive officer. “We are eager to become a part of the community and share our mission, ‘Making the world better, one stomach at a time,’ with the residents of Tucson.”

How Do You Roll? offers a modern twist to the traditional Japanese cuisine. Upon entering the restaurant, consumers follow a line and build their own sushi rolls with many unique ingredient choices. Newcomers to sushi, and those who shy away from raw fish, will be surprised to find grilled chicken and beef, whereas sushi aficionados can enjoy more typical-to-sushi options like spicy tuna and unagi. How Do You Roll? also offers gluten-free and vegetarian ingredients.

The Tucson location marks the second How Do You Roll? restaurant in Arizona, scheduled to open a week after the Phoenix location.  The Arizona locations are the first of several in the chain’s national expansion plans. How Do You Roll? will continue to grow with franchises opening in Southern California and Florida in late February 2012.

Founded in Austin, Texas, by brothers Yuen and Peter Yung, How Do You Roll? is an Asian fast-casual franchise that began in 2008.  There are currently seven locations open in Texas. How Do You Roll? prides itself on conducting quick service, encouraging consumer creativity and offering a variety of healthy foods.
