How Do You Roll? rolls out fifth Austin location

How Do You Roll? will open a fifth restaurant in its hometown of Austin next week with grand opening celebrations scheduled for May 12. Located at 11521 FM 620 Suite 1500 in the Plaza Volente shopping center, the newest addition to the How Do You Roll? chain looks forward to serving the families of the Northwest Austin, Cedar Park and surrounding communities.

“This location in particular is very family friendly,” said Yuen Yung, chief executive. “I plan on bringing my kids often.”

The How Do You Roll? at Plaza Volente distinguishes itself by being the first to have a playground. Dennis Wen, franchise owner, felt this was important as the area caters primarily to families.

Offering a modern twist to the traditional Japanese cuisine, consumers follow a line and build their own sushi rolls picking from a wide variety of ingredients. Non-sushi eaters can choose from options including grilled chicken and beef.  How Do You Roll? also offers gluten-free and vegetarian ingredients.

How Do You Roll? recently opened franchises in Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz.; Marina del Rey, Calif.; and Jacksonville, Fla. One in San Marcos plans to open days after this location. Future plans include Charlotte, N.C.; Gainesville, Fla.; and one more in Austin.

Founded in Austin, Texas, by brothers Yuen and Peter Yung, How Do You Roll? is an Asian fast-casual franchise that began in 2008.  How Do You Roll? leads the sushi revolution as the first build-your-own-roll, quick-service restaurant. There are currently eleven locations open nation-wide. How Do You Roll? prides itself on furthering cultural fusion, encouraging consumer creativity and offering a variety of healthy foods.  For more information, visit howdoyouroll.com.
