Huddle House is showing the Salina community some love this Valentine’s Day. The restaurant, located in the Flying J Travel Center at 2250 N Ohio St., is scheduled to reopen on February 14 after being closed for several months due to renovation.
In honor of the occasion, Huddle House Salina will host a special community event on February 13. Tickets for the event will be sold through the Salina Area United Way.
Breakfast sessions will run from 7-8:30 a.m. and 9-10:30 a.m. ($5/per person). Lunch and dinner sessions will take place from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. ($5/per person) and 5-8 p.m. ($8/per person). All the money raised from the event, including tips, will be donated to the Salina Area United Way.
“Salina is an area with a strong sense of community,” said Gregg Hansen, franchise partner and restaurant owner. “We look forward to reopening our restaurant with an event that will benefit the whole community.”
Hansen owns 18 Huddle House restaurants, stretching from Georgia to North Dakota.
Huddle House now has well over 400 restaurants open or under development in 21 states.
Typically open 24-hours, Huddle House serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. The menu offers a mix of Southern inspired comfort food, including signature Big House breakfasts, crispy hash browns, creamy grits, golden waffles and fluffy omelets, all made to order. Other favorites include Big Bold Burgers, Big House sandwich platters, country fried steak with green beans and marinated grilled chicken with sweet potato fries.
The core values on which Huddle House was founded – the comfortable local place for everyday people who want freshly prepared home-style foods, especially their favorite breakfast foods, served with friendly personal service – remain intact today.
