October 12 grand opening set for iconic family restaurant
Suffolk residents will soon be able to enjoy “Any Meal. Any Time.” Suffolk’s first Huddle House restaurant at 2872 Pruden Boulevard will celebrate its Grand Opening on Monday, October 12.
Jeff Miller has overseen the operation of dozens of quick service restaurant brands with names such as Dairy Queen, Quiznos and Subway. Now Miller will try his hand at operating a full-service restaurant.
Miller moved to Norfolk from Washington D.C. upon his college graduation and at that time, Miller Oil was beginning to add convenience stores to their brand. There is a food component to every convenience store.
“We are very excited about bringing Huddle House to Suffolk,” Miller said. We expect it to quickly become a favorite place to meet for all ages and all demographics.”
The new Huddle House restaurant reflects the 51-year-old chain’s new look and branding. The location seats up to 64 guests and is open 24 hours.
The menu features a mix of Southern inspired comfort food such as the signature Big House® breakfasts, Big Bold Burgers, Big House® sandwich platters, country fried steaks with green beans and marinated grilled chicken with sweet potato fries among many other favorites.
Huddle House now has more than 400 restaurants open or under development nationwide and is on track to open more than 100 new restaurants over the next three years. The growth will be accomplished primarily through franchising by both single-unit and multi-unit investors in a range of market sizes, including urban areas, small towns, travel centers and convenience sites.
The core values on which Huddle House was founded – serving quality food in a warm, friendly environment that brings the community together – remain intact today.
