Tropical-Themed Casual Dining Franchise To Open Second California Location
Hurricane Grill & Wings, a beach-themed full service restaurant franchise, that is the industry leader for creating innovative flavor combinations, announced today the signing of a new development agreement that will bring the concept to Southern California.
Franchisees Abu Syed and Zainab Kaneez, who currently own and operate multiple restaurants of a national concept, will bring Hurricane Grill & Wings to the greater San Diego area, making it the first location in the Southern California region. Prior to this development, twin brothers David and Jack Nguyen signed a development deal to bring the first Hurricane Grill & Wings location to California in the city of Antioch, which is slated to open later this year.
For two decades, Hurricane Grill & Wings has prided itself on offering guests fresh jumbo wings with more than 35 signature flavors of sauces and rubs. With selections ranging from garlic parmesan buffalo to an array of unique options that include: Roasted Garlic Inferno, Raspberry Ice and Gold Rush with heat intensity that ranges from Calm Seas to Evacuation Route, there is something to satisfy any palate. Additionally, guests can customize their own burgers using the Build-A-Burger menu feature, including a variety of savory toppings and sauces.
“The upcoming opening of Hurricane Grill & Wings‘ second California location marks an important milestone in the brand’s continued expansion in the golden state,” said Kevin Kruse, chief development officer of Hurricane Grill & Wings. “With Abu and Zainab’s abundant experience in the restaurant industry, we are confident they will bring an exceptional dining experience to the residents of greater San Diego. Now both Northern and Southern California residents will be able to enjoy Hurricane Grill & Wings’ flavorful offerings.”
“Being near the sunny beaches of Southern California, we were looking to add a fun, new restaurant brand to our portfolio that would complement the seaside atmosphere of San Diego,” said Abu Syed, franchisee of Hurricane Grill & Wings. “Hurricane Grill & Wings’ laidback atmosphere and fresh, flavorful menu made the concept a perfect fit for us, and we look forward to sharing this tropical experience with San Diegans.”
Hurricane Grill & Wings has seen tremendous national growth in 2015 with expansions in Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland and Texas. In addition to California, the concept will close out the year by entering Oklahoma and Milan, Italy.
