Today, Denny’s highly anticipated flagship diner known as “Denny’s on Fremont” will officially mark its arrival to Neonopolis in downtown Las Vegas. Denny’s will celebrate the grand opening of its one-of-a-kind diner with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by tours and samplings of some of the menu’s unique offerings. But the importance of the diner’s addition to the downtown Las Vegas business community will be central to the day’s events.
“Fremont Street is the heart of downtown and the future of Las Vegas, making it an ideal location for a world class Denny’s,” said John Miller, Denny’s chief executive officer. “We hope to be a destination for visitors and residents alike, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, all night or even for a romantic occasion, and look forward to being a fixture in downtown Las Vegas for many years to come.”
Continuing the renaissance of downtown Las Vegas and the Fremont Street area, “Denny’s on Fremont” will employ almost 100 people and is expected to attract thousands each day. With a selection of menu items available only at this location – including a bacon flavored martini coined the “Bakontini” and an Elvis-inspired “King Stack” featuring peanut butter, bananas and bacon with fluffy buttermilk pancakes – guests will enjoy a unique experience every time they visit. Document the trip at Denny’s interactive Photo Booth where guests can take fun photos with quintessential Vegas props, then share them instantly on their Facebook or Twitter accounts through integrated social technology.
“The diner is the original social network where the community gathers to share and connect, so we wanted to create a space that reflected that spirit,” said Frances Allen, Denny’s chief marketing officer. “From the weaving yellow bands on the exterior of the diner to the interactive sensory experiences, this is a place that visitors will not soon forget.”
Guests will still need to wait for the diner’s most unusual feature: an in-house wedding chapel. Denny’s expects to walk the first couple down the aisle in the first quarter of next year.
Denny’s is one of America’s largest full-service family restaurant chains, currently operating more than 1,680 franchised, licensed and company-owned restaurants across the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras, Guam, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and New Zealand.
