It’s “Bo Time” in Greenville

Chix and Bix, LLC celebrated the opening of its newest Upstate Bojangles’ location yesterday at 2545 N. Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Mayor Knox White and Furman University Head Football Coach Bruce Fowler welcomed Bojangles’ to Greenville in front of city officials, Furman University coaches and staff and other special guests.

Situated in the Cherrydale area directly across the street from Home Depot, the new 3,500 square-foot restaurant will seat close to 80 guests and will serve the community Bojangles’ world-famous chicken, made-from-scratch biscuits and Legendary Iced Tea fresh all day, seven days a week. With quick and friendly drive-thru service as well as comfortable and convenient in-store seating, Bojangles’ valued customers will experience an enjoyable dining atmosphere with every visit.

“We are excited to open the fifth Upstate area Bojangles’ and our third restaurant location in South Carolina,” said Co-owner and Operator of Chix and Bix, LLC Allen Johnston. “With our new location in the Cherrydale area, we’ll be able to easily serve this side of town with Bojangles’ one-of-a-kind flavor. Whether it’s a family on-the-go looking for a delicious and convenient dinner option, or Furman students who are in need of the perfect tailgating meal, we can provide quick and easy access to the best chicken, biscuits and tea around.”

Those who are already fans of Bojangles’ have eagerly anticipated the restaurant’s arrival and those trying it for the first time are sure to soon crave the unique flavor of Bojangles’ menu items, like hand-breaded chicken, buttermilk biscuits and biscuit sandwiches, delicious fixin’s and freshly-steeped iced tea. In addition to individual orders for every meal of the day, Bojangles’ also prepares family-sized meals.

“We’ve always felt so welcomed by this community and we look forward to building additional long-lasting relationships with our loyal customers throughout Greenville,” added Johnston.

Bojangles’ new restaurant in Greenville also represents an economic investment in the area. The average investment made for new locations is $1.7 million, and each new store creates an average of 25-35 new jobs. The new Bojangles’ will also affect the local economy through increased tax revenues and by using local companies for recurring needs such as landscaping and repairs.

The new Cherrydale Bojangles’ will be open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Free Wi-Fi will also be available for guests inside the restaurant.

Founded in 1977 in Charlotte, N.C., Bojangles’ Restaurants Inc. serves such classic menu items as made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits; specially seasoned, never frozen fried chicken; Legendary Iced Tea, steeped the old-fashioned way; and a variety of flavorful fixin’s.
