‘Topping of the Month’ features an array of health benefits
Just in time for New Year’s resolutions, Salata is adding a bold and healthy topping to its January lineup.
Beginning Sunday, Jan. 1, the restaurant known for its simple, fresh and honest ingredients will introduce Kalamata olives to its menu.
Kalamata olives are rich in antioxidants, iron, healthy fats and anti-inflammatory properties. They are known to improve hair, eyesight and nail quality while reducing allergies, blood cholesterol levels, and the risk of cancer and heart attacks.
At Salata, guests are able to customize their own salad to fit the mood they are in that day. But Kalamata olive fans are encouraged to come by soon. This special topping will only be available through Jan. 31.
Some popular combinations featuring January’s Topping of the Month include –
- Salad 1 – Salata mix, Kalamata olives, red onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, banana peppers, feta cheese, fresh herb vinaigrette, falafel
- Salad 2 – spinach, Kalamata olives, cucumber, cilantro, avocado, lemon vinaigrette, grilled chicken
“We’re always looking for exciting, fresh and healthy options to add to our wide array of toppings, and Kalamata olives certainly fit the bill,” said Berge Simonian, founder and CEO of Salata. “Black and green olives are a staple at Salata, but we’re giving olive lovers yet another reason to come by this month!”
And if Kalamata olives aren’t your favorite, don’t fret. More than 50 fresh toppings and 10 house-made dressings are always available to create your perfect salad or salad wrap every day.
