Jaws Jumbo Burgers is a tribute restaurant to the 1975 blockbuster movie JAWS. The restaurant is opening in Ocala, Florida instead of Orlando. “Our plan was to open Jaws Jumbo Burgers in Orlando, 5 -20 minutes from Universal Studios,” stated Porter, VP of Jaws Jumbo Burgers. The problem was that the cost to rent space in Orlando was outrageous.
Another problem was that we needed a space big enough install our 6 ft x 12 ft Digital Shark Aquarium and our 10-foot Great White Shark attraction. We also needed the restaurant to have a good street view and that was also a problem with some of the rental spaces in Orlando. We looked at many cities and we found our perfect beautiful space in Ocala, FL., just an hour away from Orlando. We are conveniently located off-75 exit so families on their way to the theme parks can stop by and ‘open wide’.
“The restaurant is 2700 sq ft. It is like a Jaws Movie Museum and the Digital Shark Aquarium is like being at Sea World. It’s Breathtaking,” states Porter.

Jaws Jumbo Burgers Restaurant is nostalgic with a cult following. They started in Michigan (40 years), then moved to Tennessee (6 years) and have settled in Florida. For 37 years they have specialized in classic, fresh ground, 100% sirloin burgers. Their old-fashioned burgers are ground fresh in house every day and hand patted. The burgers are designed to feed normal to gigantic appetites with single, double & triple-decker burgers.
