Cafe Enterprises, Inc. announced today that restaurant industry veteran Jim Mazany will join the company as Chief Executive Officer. Mazany has more than 30 years of restaurant operations and leadership experience, including senior leadership roles with brands including TGI Friday’s, Applebee’s and Joe’s Crab Shack.

“We are excited to have Jim lead the Fatz Cafe brand,” said Scott Warren, Board Director of Cafe Enterprises. “Jim is a proven restaurant executive whose leadership style will be a great fit for our culture. While 2016 has been a difficult year for those of us in the casual dining industry, Jim has extensive experience in leading brands to success in challenging times. We are very much looking forward to his contribution at Cafe Enterprises.”

Mazany was most recently the President of Joe’s Crab Shack, part of Ignite Restaurant Group. He joined Joe’s Crab Shack in 2007 as Senior Vice President of Operations, soon after advancing to Chief Operating Officer, and ultimately President when the company was taken public in 2012. He played a significant role in transforming the Joe’s Crab Shack brand from a $2.2 million AUV business into a $3.2 million AUV business.
