JJ's Red Hots to Offer Free Sausages This Weekend in Exchange for SAUSAGE PARTY Movie TicketsJJ’s Red Hots is putting its sausage where your mouth is, for free.

The Charlotte-based Hot Dog King, famous too for its hand-crafted artisanal sausages, is celebrating the opening weekend of this summer’s must-see comedy SAUSAGE PARTY by exchanging its best meat for your stub. Beginning Friday, August 12 through Sunday, August 14, JJ’s guests can have what the brand is calling a “Sausage Party in Your Mouth” — their choice of a JJ’s sausage at no cost provided they can show their ticket to the movie.

Guests will have their choice of Andouille with slaw and remoulade, Italian with sautéed onions and peppers and brown mustard, Bratwurst with sauerkraut and brown mustard or Chicken Bratwurst on a pretzel roll with caramelized onions and Dijon mustard.

SAUSAGE PARTY is an R-rated animated comedy featuring a voice cast including Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill and Bill Hader. From the writers of “Superbad” and “Pineapple Express” and the guys who brought you “This Is The End,” SAUSAGE PARTY is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store. SAUSAGE PARTY opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, August 12, 2016 and the red band trailer can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7fP9q_LyDc.

“This sounds like our type of movie so we decided to go all in. This promotion falls squarely in the ‘We don’t take ourselves too seriously’ camp.” said JJ’s proprietor and founder Jonathan Luther. “We treat our sausages a little better than they did in the movie so go have some laughs then grab some great eats on the house during opening weekend.”

JJ’s recently celebrated the four-year anniversary of its Dilworth location in Charlotte and its three-year anniversary for its restaurant in Ballantyne. JJ’s is also famous for its annual SausageFest blow-out where fans of the brand for a fixed price can enjoy unlimited House-made sausages, 30+ local draft/craft beers, live music, corn hole, raffles and more. JJ’s 2016 SausageFest is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th at its original Dilworth location on East Boulevard in Charlotte.

“Hey, we’re all about the sausage. Every day is a Sausage Party at JJ’s,” said JJ’s director of marketing and brand development Brandy Newton. “When we heard about this movie, we knew we had to do something fun and also something to show everyone that it’s not all about Hot Dogs here. We never ‘dis the Dog but dammit, we love our sausages too.”

For those who love a good sausage but who are taking a pass on the movie, JJ’s will feature all sausages Monday, August 8 – Sunday, August 14 for $4.99. The popular Dog of the Week program will take a seat for one week in favor of a Sausage Party in Your Mouth. JJ’s will also be giving away three “Sausage Party” prize packs filled with Sausage Party and JJ’s swag. To enter, visit JJs and post your sausage(s) photo to Instagram / Facebook / Twitter tagging @jjsredhots and #SausageParty.

JJ’s has been on an all-out winning streak since its inception in 2012. The brand raised national eyebrows for two years running by being honored by Fast Casual in its annual Top 100 Movers & Shakers list.  JJ’s is the smallest chain to ever make the list and the only Hot Dog/Sausage concept to receive the honor. JJ’s also swept all of Charlotte’s Best Hot Dog awards in 2015 including the Charlotte Observer’s Readers’ Choice Best of Charlotte 2015 award for Best Hot Dog, And JJ’s ‘Char Heel’ dog won Charlotte Magazine’s BOB award for Best Southern Hot Dog.

Most recently, JJ’s was named by Tabelog as One of The 10 Most Unique Hotdog Joints in America and was cited by Spoon University as The 50 Best Foods to Eat in Charlotte Before You Die and as one of 10 Hot Dog Joints Across the State by North Carolina’s Our State magazine.

JJ’s Red Hots is the premier purveyor of “hand-crafted” char-grilled hot dogs and sausages with two locations and several portable vehicles in the Charlotte metropolitan area. The restaurant concept is built on solid, hardworking values and is modeled after venerable establishments like Ted’s in Buffalo, NY, Gene and Jude’s in Chicago, and many others. Still, JJ’s is a true American original featuring house-made, scratch prepared sides and toppings served alongside time tested, revered American brands like Weber’s Mustard, Martin’s Rolls, and Coca-Cola. Perhaps most proudly, JJ’s Red Hots serves smokehouse hot dogs from Sahlen’s Meat Packing Company in Buffalo, NY. Sahlen’s is a 146-year-old company that remains family owned and operated, and makes, in our opinion, the best hot dogs in the world.
