As the saying goes, every dog has its day and every year, so does dad. And this year on Father’s Day JJ’s Red Hots is going to honor Dad on his day with what else, a free Hot Dog.
JJ’s’ Red Hots, Charlotte’s favorite Hot Dog and Sausage joint, will give each dad one free Hot Dog this Sunday, June 19 at its two Charlotte locations, Dilworth and Ballantyne. Proud papa and JJ’s proprietor Jonathan Luther, who named the brand after the first initial of his beloved children, says the offering seemed like a natural.
“The only thing better than a JJ’s Hot Dog is a free JJ’s Hot Dog,” said Luther. “JJ’s loves Dads and families every day of the year and as a father myself, I thought it was a great opportunity to treat dads to a great Hot Dog on the house on their special day.”
JJ’s Father’s Day gesture is the brainchild of Luther and director of brand development Brandy Newton, who both embrace families at their restaurants every day: “We never ‘dis the dog and we don’t ‘dis dad either. We decided that the perfect way for dad to spend Father’s Day is with his family at JJ’s.”
In addition to being the hot dog king in the Queen City for nearly four years, JJ’s’ has raised national eyebrows for two years running by being honored by Fast Casual in its annual Top 100 Movers & Shakers list. JJ’s is the smallest chain to make the list and the only Hot Dog/Sausage concept to receive the honor. JJ’s also swept all of Charlotte’s Best Hot Dog awards in 2015 including the Charlotte Observer’s Readers’ Choice Best of Charlotte 2015 award for Best Hot Dog. JJ’s ‘Char Heel’ dog won Charlotte Magazine’s BOB award for Best Southern Hot Dog. In addition to its world-class hot dogs, JJ’s is also famous for its hand-crafted artisanal sausages and house-made sides and toppings.
JJ’s Dads Eat Free on Father’s Day offer is limited to one free hot dog per dad, dine in only.
JJ’s Red Hots is the premier purveyor of “hand-crafted” char-grilled hot dogs and sausages with two locations and several portable vehicles in the Charlotte metropolitan area. The restaurant concept is built on solid, hardworking values and is modeled after venerable establishments like Ted’s in Buffalo, NY, Gene and Jude’s in Chicago, and many others. Still, JJ’s is a true American original featuring house-made, scratch prepared sides and toppings served alongside time tested, revered American brands like Weber’s Mustard, Martin’s Rolls, and Coca-Cola. Perhaps most proudly, JJ’s Red Hots serves smokehouse hot dogs from Sahlen’s Meat Packing Company in Buffalo, NY. Sahlen’s is a 146 year-old company that remains family owned and operated, and makes, in our opinion, the best hot dogs in the world.
