Johnny Rockets Opens Fifth Restaurant In The Philippines

Last Thursday, Johnny Rockets franchise owner Camamiq Foods, Inc. opened its fifth restaurant in the Philippines, at trendy Alabang Town Center located south of Makati.  This newest 2,000-square-foot location offers the same delicious all-American fare and timeless, feel-good, ambiance as their three Quezon City restaurants at Tomas Morato Avenue, Robinsons Galleria and Eastwood Mall, and Forbes Town Center restaurant in Taguig City.

Owned by Ayala Malls, Alabang Town Center is a Mediterranean courtyard-inspired, one-stop shopping destination for citizens living in Southern Metro Manila, particularly those from Las Pinas, Paranaque and Muntinlupa.  This 17-hectare shopping complex features two open-air locales – Town Plaza and Corte de las Palmas – and boasts 500 retail stores, restaurants, dining outlets, and entertainment venues.

“Not only is the vast array of international retail establishments a major draw, the mall also offers a multitude of entertainment options,” said Camamiq Foods CEO Dr. Amable C. Aguiluz IX, whose unique Johnny Rockets menu offerings and inventive social media promotions appeal to both local residents and visitors to the area.  “For those attending a concert at the Activity Center, catching a new release at the cinema, or having fun at the Timezone amusement center, Johnny Rockets makes the perfect pre- or post-activity destination.”

Since opening its first restaurant in the Philippines in September 2009, Johnny Rockets has remained true to its 25-year heritage while simultaneously reflecting the country’s rich cultural nuances. The iconic, all-American restaurant offers its signature juicy Hamburgers, fries served with a ketchup smiley face, and hand-spun Shakes and Malts, along with local specialties such as sides of rice, longaniza sausage, and tocino.

“The fact that President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III and his entourage recently enjoyed a meal and infectious dancing of our servers at the Eastwood Mall restaurant speaks volumes about Johnny Rockets’ ongoing popularity in the Philippines,” said Steve Devine, senior vice president of international development for Johnny Rockets.  “Even with all the dining options that Alabang Town Center has to offer, there was a niche that we’re uniquely positioned to fill with our great-tasting food, upbeat music, friendly service and fun, feel-good ambiance.”
