Johnny’s Burger Factory’s grand opening weekend celebration last month at the Walden Galleria Mall was a huge success. Hundreds of people lined up throughout the weekend to sample and order the restaurant’s fresh, never frozen cooked-to-order burgers, hand-breaded chicken tenders and hand-spun shakes. And it was all for a great cause. Johnny’s Burger Factory made a commitment to give back to the community and donate 20% of the proceeds generated from sales during its grand opening weekend to The Salvation Army of Greater Buffalo. The numbers are in and Johnny’s Burger Factory has donated $5,000 to benefit the tireless work of The Salvation Army that will impact many lives in Western New York.
“The Buffalo community has truly embraced our new Johnny’s Burger Factory restaurant concept,” said James Walker, President of Operations and Development of Johnny’s Burger Factory. “Our grand opening guests not only voiced their excitement about having a new place to enjoy a great meal, they also felt proud that their meal purchases were contributing to help The Salvation Army support people in need.”
“Guests were lined up early to place their orders with a Johnny’s Burger Factory team member. But once the crowds of people realized that they could use our new self-ordering kiosks to customize their burgers and sandwiches, people were being served quickly and sales were increasing by the minute,” said Joel Bulger, Chief Marketing Officer at Johnny’s Burger Factory. “The new technology at Johnny’s Burger Factory certainly impacted our grand opening sales and as a result, benefited The Salvation Army.”
Charles Bruce, President and Chief Executive Officer of Johnny’s Burger Factory said, “All of us at Johnny’s Burger Factory thank the community for their support. We exceeded our expectations for our grand opening weekend and we’re thrilled to donate $5,000 to The Salvation Army of Greater Buffalo and its programs dedicated to feeding hungry families throughout Western New York.”
