Jump Start 2017 With First Watch's New Seasonal Dishes

Daytime Café introduces two features, brings back best-selling juice and A.M. Superfoods Bowl.

Jump Start 2017 With First Watch's New Seasonal DishesFirst Watch, the popular breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, today introduced four fresh, new dishes nationwide as part of its limited-time Jump Start menu. This seasonal menu, like First Watch’s traditional offerings, keeps things fresh with high-quality ingredients while introducing new, mouth-watering flavors to celebrate a new season. The restaurant is also bringing back its best-selling A.M. Superfoods Bowl.

“Chia seeds are definitely on-trend right now, and we were able to create an A.M. Superfoods Bowl with a coconut milk chia seed pudding, fresh fruit, natural preserves and our housemade granola that people just loved,” said Shane Schaibly, First Watch’s corporate chef and vice president of culinary strategy. “The bowl was part of our seasonal menu during the holidays, and we had intentions to discontinue it in early January. It wasn’t until we saw our customers’ hundreds of Instagram photos of it, along with raving reviews and the dish’s awesome sales that we decided to carry it over onto our new Jump Start seasonal menu.”

First Watch makes fresh juices in-house daily from only the highest quality fruits and vegetables. Since the company launched its Fresh Juice Program in 2015, the restaurant has extended its offerings, which now include two permanent fixtures – Day Glow and Kale Tonic – and a number of seasonal additions throughout the year. This season, First Watch is reintroducing a best-selling beverage from 2016:

  • Morning Meditation – Orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet.

First Watch customers can find the following seasonal dishes in addition to the traditional favorites at their local First Watch through Sunday, March 19:

  • M. Superfoods Bowl – Coconut milk chia seed pudding topped with fresh bananas, berries, blackberry preserves and housemade granola. Served with whole grain artisan toast topped with almond butter and Maldon sea salt.
  • Multigrain Croissant Breakfast Sandwich – Egg white frittata with turkey sausage, roasted shallots and Parmesan, topped with fresh sliced tomatoes, arugula and basil pesto on a gilled multigrain croissant. Served with lemon dressed organic mixed greens.
  • Lemon Blueberry Quinoa Pancakes – Three mid-sized blueberry quinoa pancakes topped with blueberry lemon butter and our housemade granola. Served with mixed berry compute and warm maple syrup.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers customers complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
