KDC, one of America’s leading commercial real estate development and investment firms, today announced that a new Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip will open this summer at CityLine, the company’s 186-acre mixed-use project in Richardson.

The bakery café will be owned and operated by State Farm Insurance agent and Nestlé Toll House Café franchisee, Clint Goin. State Farm is leasing two million square feet of office space in four towers from KDC at CityLine.

“CityLine is such an incredible development, I just knew it would be a perfect location for a Nestlé Toll House Café,” said Goin. “With my ties to State Farm, I just felt that everything fell in place for me to bring the café here. I can’t wait to open our doors and begin serving CityLine tenants our mouthwatering cookies, premium coffees, ice cream and a wide variety of delicious lunch choices.”

In addition to the State Farm space, KDC is developing a 489,000-square-foot office complex for Raytheon at the development. More than 92,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment options will be integrated into the base of the office towers.

By September 2015, CityLine is expected to have a daytime population of 10,000 people. At full build-out, the project will contain approximately six million square feet of office space, two hotels, 3,925 multi-family residential units, 300,000 square feet of grocery, restaurant, entertainment and retail space, and three parks.

“All of us at Nestlé Toll House Café are thrilled to be one of the first foodservice tenants at CityLine, which is an extraordinary development just minutes from our global headquarters,” said Scott McIntosh, vice president of franchise development for Nestlé Toll House Café. “Clint is going to be an excellent franchise partner, and I have no doubt he has selected a terrific location to plant his first café. We believe this will become a model for similar mixed-use projects across North America.”

The premium dessert destination concept is built around the world’s most powerful food brand – Nestlé. Along with its universally loved Nestlé Toll House cookies and cookie cakes, the new café will serve brownies, muffins, smoothies, Nescafé Milano coffee and ice creams. The CityLine café will also be a great lunch option, thanks to its made-to-order crepes and Panini sandwiches.

The 1,538-square-foot Nestlé Toll House Café is projected to open in early June in the base of Two CityLine at 1201 State Street.

KDC’s CityLine, located in Richardson, Texas, is a 186-acre mixed-use development that features dense urban development with easy access to office, residential, entertainment, parks and the DART light rail network.

The 2.3 million-square-foot initial phase of CityLine construction is underway and includes an Aloft hotel; LOOK Cinemas; Whole Foods Market; Jasper’s; Coal Vines; Tom+Chee; Edoko; Top Pot Donuts; 935 apartments; a 41,000-square-foot wellness office building anchored by Texas Health Resources and Children’s Health; and a health and fitness facility adjacent to a 3.5-acre park with trails.
