Franchise owner Richard Cochran is excited for the grand opening event of his new store in Kearney on Friday, July 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In honor of this day, Dickey’s will be serving $1 pulled pork big barbecue sandwiches.
“The best part about owning a Dickey’s is getting to serve the people of our community great barbecue,” said Cochran who owns and operates this location along with his wife Cheryl and partners Larry and Sue Tyler. “It’s really exciting to not only see people enjoy our dine-in service, but more customers are using us for catering.”
On July 20, the Kearney location at 222 West 42nd Street will be having a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce and will host its grand opening event until 1 p.m.
“It’s great to see the local community really embrace our catering service,” said Cochran. “We have enjoyed serving our barbecue at these great events.”
The two couples own both Kearney locations and have another location opening in August in Grand Island. Prior to becoming Dickey’s franchise owners, Richard and Larry worked for Schwan’s and Cheryl and Sue worked in the school system.
