Avid Hooters fan Apollos Gause wins weekly Hooters Fantasy Football Challenge powered by DraftKings
Hooters has teamed up with fantasy sports leader DraftKings to provide the nation’s diehard, wing-eating fantasy football gurus a shot at more than $300,000 in cash and prizes through the Hooters Fantasy Football Challenge. Apollos Gause, a 26-year-old University of Tennessee graduate, is the third winner of the season, cashing in on $5,000 and a trip to Florida to meet Jon Gruden, ESPN Monday Night Football analyst, for a full on football immersion session.
“Sports have always played a major role in my life, but I never would’ve imagined my fantasy football knowledge would pay off like it is right now,” said Gause, avid Hooters fan and Knoxville local. “To now have the opportunity to not only meet Coach Gruden, but to spend a day talking chalk with one of the greatest football masterminds around—it’s unbelievable.”
The $300,000 Hooters Fantasy Football Challenge, powered by DraftKings, unlocks free access for Hooters guests to put their fantasy football knowledge and skills to the test versus Coach Jon Gruden each week. Fantasy football fans are invited to grab an entry code at Hooters locations across the country to join the $300,000 Hooters Fantasy Football Challenge. Using the code, fans can set a DraftKings lineup for free in a matter of minutes to play for $50,000 in cash and prizes from Hooters every week, awarded September 13 through October 18.
“Apollos’ sports background and high fantasy football IQ were impressive and enough to take me down this week in the Hooters Fantasy Football Challenge,” said Gruden. “I’m looking forward to seeing who steps up and challenges me next week. If you have what it takes, grab some wings at Hooters, set your lineup and take a shot at walking away with big-time cash earnings and the chance to talk strategy with me in Florida.”
The promotion breaks new ground in providing football fans with even more reasons to make Hooters their go-to destination for watching all the games this season with the best wings in America and world-famous Hooters Girls.
