Krystal, the southern brand known for its iconic square burgers, announced today that Scott Gallagher has assumed the role of Senior Vice President of Operations, effective immediately. He will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Omar Janjua.
“We have been laser-focused on rebuilding our brand by investing in major renovations and new restaurant openings, but we’re also committed to strengthening our core operations and to providing an elevated guest experience. I have worked with Scott previously and he understands how to structure and motivate teams to provide the experience that leads to an accelerated return on the investment,” Janjua said. “We are delighted to have someone of Scott’s caliber and background lead our company operations.”
Gallagher joined the company earlier this year as Vice President, New Assets and Implementation to drive all aspects of restaurant refurbishment and new-build implementation in support for more than 230 company-owned restaurants and 6,000 employees.
Gallagher is a 30-year veteran of the restaurant industry and has been recognized for improving revenue, profitability, operations and overall business performance in growth and brand turnaround situations. Most recently, Gallagher served for eight years as the division president, Southeast for Steak N Shake. Prior to Steak N Shake, he spent more than 15 years at Chili’s Grill & Bar/Brinker International with the last eight years of his tenure as a regional director.
