Phoenix, AZ – Plantasia
Many in Flagstaff know of the Toasted Owl Cafe (as well as the sister restaurant, Toasted Owl East Side). These two restaurants have proven successful, and so Cecily Maniaci has decided to spread her wings south and open a plant-based restaurant in Phoenix called Plantasia.
Newmarket, NH – Tipsy Tabby
New Hampshire’s first cat cafe will soon be opening in Newmarket. The Tipsy Tabby, located on Main Street, is still under construction. When construction is complete, the building will feature two separate areas: A lounge space and a cafe.
Oakland Park, FL – Teriyaki Madness
Teriyaki Madness and Nestle Toll House Café by Chip will be coming to Oakland Park in the next few months. On Thursday, What Now found a plan review for the businesses with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Per the filing, expect to find the new units opening in the same location at 5073 N Dixie Hwy. In the North Ridge Shopping Center, the location will near Vaella Coffee and Tea, Tijuana Flats and Mikado Japanese.
Somerset, PA – Little Caesars
A new pizza restaurant is opening in Somerset in June — and it’s like no other store in the franchise. Little Caesars franchise owner David Rambin said the Somerset location will be the first in the country with a digital-centric model.
Santa Monica, CA – Lotus Dim Sum Dumpling House
A Dim Sum restaurant is set to open soon in downtown Santa Monica. Lotus Dim Sum Dumpling House will open in June in the former P.F. Chang’s space on the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and 4th Street in downtown Santa Monica. The restaurant made the announcement on its Instagram page.
The Woodlands, TX – The Stand
California based fast casual chain, The Stand, is opening its first interstate location later this year in the Woodlands. This new restaurant will be located on the ground floor of the Lakes Edge II property at 2000 Hughes Landing Boulevard Suite F-700. The restaurant will be a franchise property for Houston based Triple Tap Ventures. Triple Tap owner, Neil Billingsley-Michaelsen is listed as the tenant.
