The hands-on Vorbeck Brothers look to 2017 as a great opportunity to expand their Manhattan Cafe catering business.
Since purchasing Manhattan Cafe in October of 2014, the three brothers have grown from 80 transactions per day to 400 per day with 25% of their business coming from the catering side. Manhattan Cafe specializes in business lunch, but offers breakfast as well. Located at 320 S. Wilmington Street in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, they are open Monday through Saturday from 7:00am till 2:00pm.
Nate Vorbeck, the eldest brother at 36, is a 2004 graduate of The University of Central Florida, Rosen School of Hospitality. His first jobs were with Hilton Hotels, Crown Plaza and Harper’s. Nate was most recently a Managing Partner with Tripps Restaurant in the Raleigh area from 2009 until December 2015 when he joined his brothers at Manhattan Cafe.
Casey Vorbeck, 32, also a graduate of UCF Rosen School of Hospitality in 2006, began his career with Tijuana Flats Burrito Co. in that year. With the goal of opening a restaurant that would include all three brothers, Casey left Tijuana Flats in December 2013 and set out to find a location somewhere in The Triangle. He found what they were looking for in October 2014 and purchased Manhattan Cafe that month.
Youngest Brother Mick, a 2011 Graduate of Florida State University with a Political Science Degree, began working for his older brother at Tripps in Raleigh. He then worked for Harrah’s until January 2015 when he joined Casey at Manhattan Cafe.
The menu is Fabulous Sandwiches, Pastas and a Salad Bar on Steroids. The atmosphere is urban chic. Exciting colors and graffiti cover the walls.
In addition to the three brothers they have created 7 jobs, to provide the best in customer service. Please see for yourself when in the Raleigh area.
