North Charleston, South Carolina, Hooters Girl claims coveted title and $30,000 prize at 19th Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant in Las Vegas
South Carolina Hooters Girl Meagan Pastorchik recently received top honors at the 19th Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant in Las Vegas, taking home the title of 2015 Miss Hooters International. Pastorchik was selected from a group of 100 talented Hooters Girls from around the world, each adding their own glamorous flair to a memorable night at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The full pageant with bonus footage airs nationally on Fox Sports 1 on August 6.
A 21-year-old native of Charleston, South Carolina, Pastorchik is currently pursuing a degree in business to go along with her real estate license. She has worked at the Hooters of North Charleston for three years and placed second runner up in last year’s Hooters Pageant. Her poise, confidence and sense of humor secured the 2015 Miss Hooters International crown and a $30,000 cash prize. Of course, her striking beauty didn’t hurt either!
“I couldn’t be happier to become Miss Hooters International! Everything was a blur when they called my name onstage—I just went numb!” said Pastorchik. “I have already learned so much and have had so many amazing opportunities working for Hooters, I can’t wait to serve as the ambassador of such an iconic brand for the next year. When I hang up my Orange Shorts I’d love to continue working with Hooters in the marketing department, so this is another exciting step towards that goal.”
Though Pastorchik is already heavily involved in Hooters marketing efforts, previously being selected from thousands of Hooters Girls across the world to appear in television commercials and advertising, her work as a brand ambassador and spokesperson for Hooters continues as Miss Hooters International. She will assist with international store openings and special events, appear in national advertisements and contribute to national marketing initiatives throughout the year.
This year’s pageant features a panel of celebrity judges including former NFL running back Clinton Portis, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Hall of Famer Forrest Griffin, American snowboarder, 2010 Winter Olympic bronze medalist and 2004 World Quarterpipe Champion Scotty Lago, Miss Florida USA 2014, Miss USA 2014 fourth runner-up and top fashion and swimsuit model, Brittany Oldehoff, and the “Original Hooters Girl,” model and actress, Lynne Austin. Co-hosts for this year’s pageant are Kenny Florian, UFC icon and co-host of FOX Sports 1’s UFC TONIGHT, and Michelle Nunes, actress, Hooters Girl Hall of Famer and 2006 Miss Hooters International.
The pageant contestants are evaluated based on responses to interview questions, personality and overall contribution to the Hooters brand, as well as swimsuit attire. They were selected from a pool of more than 18,000 Hooters Girls who presently work in one of the more than 400 Hooters locations worldwide. Each of them competed in local and regional swimsuit contests along “The Road to Vegas” for one of the 100 coveted spots at this year’s event.
The top five Hooters Girl finalists are first runner up, Caitlyn Efel, Hooters of Kennesaw, Georgia; second runner up, Celeste Davis, Hooters of Cumberland, Georgia; third runner up, Olivia Davis, Hooters of Kingston Pike, Tennessee; and fourth runner up, Alyssa Wickman, Hooters of Dayton, Ohio.
Rounding out the top 10 in alphabetical order are Jenell Hendrix, Hooters of Champaign, Illinois; Gavin Leger, Hooters of South Lakeland, Florida; Casey Luckey, Hooters of Lake Buena Vista, Florida; Sable Robert, Hooters of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Rachel Swartz, Hooters of Columbus, Georgia. Lydia Hipkiss from Hooters of Nottingham, England, was selected as Miss Hooters World, representing Hooters 26 international markets.
Hooters debuted its long-awaited Snapchat account during this year’s pageant, giving followers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the events leading up to crowning Miss Hooters International. Hooters fans can now keep up with the latest Hooters happenings by adding “hootersLIVE” on Snapchat.
