Restaurant chain appoints Pitbull and Jordan Zimmerman to board of directors to accelerate expansion
The South Florida-based chain has sought out two of the top leaders in their respective fields to drive production for their growth portfolio.
Miami Grill has elected Armando Christian “Pitbull” Pérez and Jordan Zimmerman to fill their boardroom seats and amplify the brand’s global reach amongst its customers. Pitbull, otherwise known as “Mr. Worldwide”, isn’t just a multi-platinum hip-hop artist. He’s a brilliant business entrepreneur who brings a dynamic mix of music, culture and partnership to the table. He also owns the “Key to the City” of Miami, built a charter school, launched his own radio station on Sirius XM and is a significant equity partner in the company.
As Pitbull carries the spirit and soul of Miami, likewise, Jordan Zimmerman brings the same sense of ambitious entrepreneurship, fearless energy and strategy to Miami Grill. Jordan holds an unprecedented track record of building successful brands in almost every retail sector including restaurants like Papa John’s, White Castle, Firehouse Subs and Boston Market. Jordan has been twice recognized for his generosity and philanthropic contributions to many organizations in Broward County, Florida. Broward County Commissioners in 2014 and 2015 have proclaimed March 28th as Jordan Zimmerman Day. Together, the duo make a powerful addition to the Miami Grill family.
“Our goal with Miami Grill is to bring the taste and sensation of Miami to the market. Armando and Jordan know how to get us to more places, get there faster and with more success,” says Richard Chwatt, CEO of Miami Grill.
The Fast Casual concept is a modern, fresh approach with a South Florida flare. The menu is filled with diverse flavor and includes grilled fish, salads and will also offer beer and wine. A few locations will even feature Dom Pérignon.
“I want to help Miami Grill become the fastest-growing, newest restaurant concept in the world and partnering with someone like Pitbull, who has proven the power of cross-promotion between entertainment and business, is incomparable,” says Jordan Zimmerman.
“I wish I met Jordan when I was just starting out, as he’s the only person who thinks “worldwide” is too limiting a geography. Together, we’re going to make Miami Grill the coolest restaurant concept on the planet,” says Pitbull.
Miami Grill intends to bring their fast casual concept, modern menu and tropical spirit and style to the world. The company already has signed franchise rights across the globe, including Panama, Hawaii and Saudi Arabia. Like its roots in the sun, Miami Grill plans to become the hottest franchise in the business.
