Miami Grill Continues to Defy Downward Industry Sales and Transaction TrendsLike the neon buzz of its South Beach heritage, Miami Grill continues its electrifying performance. Fueled by aggressive growth, franchise expansion, and a commitment to technology-enabled customer service, the brand continues to transition toward upscale fast casual, complemented with a South Beach vibe and a popular “Everything Goes” menu.

According to Black Box Intelligence, a financial performance benchmark company for the restaurant industry, the industry’s same-store sales were up 1.1% in June and transactions were down 1.7%. By comparison, Miami Grill experienced an 11.2% positive same-store swing and an 8.5% increase swing in transactions for the same period.

Comparing first and second quarters, Miami Grill continued to outshine the restaurant industry. While the industry grew .1% in Q1 and .8% in Q2, Miami Grill grew 14.2% in Q1 and 10.2% in Q2. Similar contrasts showed in transactions; the industry lost 2.7% in Q1 and 2% in Q2 while Miami Grill grew 12.5% in Q1 and 7.4% in Q2. Additionally, Uber Eats and other delivery platforms continue adding to revenues. Perhaps most impressively, Miami Grill’s same-store comparable sales have been positive for 56 of the last 58 months.

Adding to the forward momentum is the opening of a new Miami Grill on Jog Road in Greenacres, Florida. Reflecting the brand’s forward evolution, this newest restaurant features a modernized look, an enhanced customer experience, premium customer service, and the latest in restaurant tech, including self-ordering kiosk technology. Also new, is an enhanced breakfast menu including panini-style sandwiches, pitas, platters, pancakes, and Cinnamon French toast.

Richard Chwatt, Miami Grill’s CEO & President, states, “Our continued growth and success is a result of our organization working together, our corporate staff, franchisees, restaurant operations, all focused on creating the best possible guest experience. I am very proud of what we have accomplished and the outlook for the future.”

The brand has continued to expand both domestically and internationally with a concentrated development targeted to Central and North Florida, where the chain recently opened restaurants in Jacksonville and Gainesville. Restaurants are currently under construction in Orlando and Texas.

South-Florida based Miami Grill is the hottest fast casual concept to hit the market, developed by the same owners as Miami Subs, Miami Subs Capital Partners 1, Inc. and key equity partner, Armando Christian “Pitbull” Pérez. Miami Grill and its “Everything Goes” concept embody the taste and sensations of South Beach and provide a diverse menu unlike any other chain in the category.
