Mia’s Mexican Grill, located in northwest San Antonio on Bandera Road at Loop 1604, celebrates its grand opening starting at 6am on Monday, April 16th, 2012.
Frank Salas, owner/operator of Mia’s Mexican Grill, is no newcomer to the Mexican restaurant biz, having formerly owned and operated three Las Palapas franchise locations over the past nine years. The location of Mia’s may seem familiar because it used to be one of his Las Palapas locations.
The menu at Mia’s Mexican Grill is heavily influenced by the recipes Frank and his family have been enjoying in San Antonio for generations. “We wanted to bring the flavors we grew up with on the westside of San Antonio, and the vibe of Southtown through the décor, to the northwest side of town. We are focused on providing the freshest food possible. You may have to wait an extra minute or two while we crack your eggs or grill your street tacos, but we know our customers will appreciate the fresh quality and home-cooked taste of our food.”
For breakfast (served until 3pm), try Frank’s Country a la Mexicana or Jen’s Machacado, the Helotes Breakfast Special or any of Jake’s Famous Tacos. For lunch or dinner, there are several charbroiled dishes from the grill, street tacos, and all your favorite Mexican plates. You’ll find Black Board Specials like shrimp camechana and fish tacos on the weekends, as well as daily specials and lunch specials Monday – Friday. Not to mention, a great selection of appetizers, soups, salads, tacos, and desserts. Enjoy margaritas and your favorite draft beers served in 32oz frozen schooners. Happy hour specials run Monday – Thursday, 2pm-6pm.
