Dallas-based hospitality group of local favorites to bring two new and two existing concepts to Grand Prairie, projected to bring more than 250 jobs
Milkshake Concepts – the experiential hospitality group known for Harper’s, The Finch, Vidorra, Serious Pizza and more – will rapidly expand into Grand Prairie with four restaurants slated to open this year.
The restaurants will make their influential debut in EpicCentral, a 172-acre park home to various options for entertainment, art, fitness and more. With Epic Waters, one of the largest indoor waterparks in the state, Bolder Adventure Park, an indoor park with rock climbing, zip lining and ropes courses, and featured lakeside entertainment, Grand Prairie plans on making EpicCentral the hub of its entertainment district.
Milkshake Concepts will serve as the center of the site’s culinary experience with its popular restaurants. The first opening will be in April with the second location of The Finch – Grill & Raw Bar at 2955 S. Hwy 161. A modern American neighborhood restaurant where guests can feel welcome for any occasion, The Finch has steadily gained a following for its expansive raw bar featuring fresh-caught seafood, bold salads and exciting yet familiar entrees. Daily specials include Black Angus Prime Rib, Local Wagyu Short Ribs, Handmade Pasta of the Day and Jumbo Shrimp & Grits.
The opening of the third Vidorra ‘Cocina de Mexico’ in Texas is set to occur in June. Vidorra is known for being one of the busiest and buzziest restaurants in the metroplex, serving bold and exciting Mexican flavors and offering an extensive tequila selection in a lively social atmosphere.
Serious Eats will follow later this summer, introducing fun, varied sliders and over-the-top shakes to complement giant pizza slices derived from the original Serious Pizza brand, which was established in Deep Ellum in 2011. A full bar and live music stage, which faces both inwards to the space and outwards to an expansive lawn overlooking the water features, will round out the venue.
And finally, a new, yet-to-be-named brunch concept will complete the set of restaurants later in the year.
“This is a project we first started discussing with city officials in 2019, and we believe there isn’t a better time and opportunity to be expanding into Grand Prairie’s Epic development,” said Imran Sheikh, CEO of Milkshake Concepts. “Our concepts have shown great success in Dallas and have become staples to the community. These brands will do just that here and be the perfect fit in helping EpicCentral continue to grow and thrive. We’re thrilled to invest in our vision of pushing boundaries while remaining approachable through our unique culinary experiences in a promising city with its dynamic and central location within the metroplex.”
The openings are projected to bring more than 250 jobs to the area. For more information about Milkshake Concepts, visit milkshakeconcepts.com.
