MOD Super Fast Pizza Holdings, LLC and its franchisees today announced that its annual Spreading MODness Week raised over $400,000 to help feed hungry kids. MOD will donate $1 from every pizza it sold from November 20-24, with the ambitious goal of creating one million meals over the next 12 months that will be distributed in local communities.

Generosity Feeds, a non-profit committed to ending childhood hunger, will receive approximately $380,000 of the donation to help fund more than 30 meal-packing events across the country. Generosity Feeds and MOD will bring together communities to pack nutritious and compact meals which are designed to be distributed by school backpack programs and food banks. To date, MOD’s collaboration with Generosity Feeds has already provided nearly half a million meals across the US. See a MOD Generosity Feeds event in action: Meal Packing Event

The remaining donation will be provided to community food banks and feeding programs who will also support MOD’s mission to change the startling statistics around childhood hunger – as 1 in 5 children in the US struggle with food insecurity.

“Our annual Spreading MODness Week is a time to shine a light on MOD’s purpose – we exist to serve people and we work to positively impact as many as possible. Once again, we’re filled with gratitude for our customers and amazing MOD Squads who came together to help tackle food insecurity in a meaningful way,” said Ally Svenson, MOD’s co-founder and Chief Purpose Officer. “It is so heartwarming and encouraging to see MOD’s purpose come to life using our platform of pizza to make a positive social impact – this is Spreading MODness in action.”
