Better-Burger Brand’s Focus on ‘Seriously Fun,’ High Output Environment Helps Snag a Top Spot on 2016 List
Built on the belief that there are a million ways to create the perfect, mouth-watering and fully-customizable burger, MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes has developed a legion of loyal fans nationwide. But it’s the way the brand serves them up that has really helped the fast-growing brand stand out in the better-burger space—and that’s its characteristic ‘Seriously Fun’ environment. It’s an attitude that was sparked and inspired by the Dallas-born-and-bred brand’s strong corporate office. And for the first time ever, the team behind the magic has been recognized for their passionate efforts, as the Dallas Business Journal recently ranked the MOOYAH headquarters as one of the best places to work in North Texas.
MOOYAH’s mission to deliver the best burger, fry and shake experience ever (and to have fun while doing it) has helped MOOYAH experience the kind of rapid growth that most emerging brands can only dream about. The brand has called Dallas-Fort Worth home since its founding in 2007, and has quickly grown to become a staple not just in the communities it serves, but as a workplace, too.
“This recognition from the Dallas Business Journal showcases the continued hard work and dedication of our entire corporate team,” said Michael Mabry, chief operating officer for MOOYAH. “Our strategy has always been to create an environment here in Dallas that embodies MOOYAH’s seriously fun atmosphere and one that can be felt throughout our entire system. We are a family, and we treat our team members, our franchisees and our Guests the same way. This has helped to create a corporate culture that’s truly unique, and we’re honored to be recognized for that.”
With more than 460 nominations, Quantum Workplace handles the vetting process for the publication’s annual Best Place to Work program. Quantum gathers rankings via surveys obtained from organization employees and crunches data from there. Now in its 14th year—with contenders that have been one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s top spots since the program’s inception—the Best Places to Work rankings showcases North Texas organizations in five different categories: micro, small, medium, large and extra-large. One hundred companies made the cut for this year’s Best Places to Work. MOOYAH was ranked in the small business category.
“We take pride in serving the highest-quality food, like buns baked in-house, never-frozen beef, hand-cut fries, and garden-fresh veggies, and that pride translates into our work environment as well,” Mabry said. “That starts with the corporate environment and extends to the restaurant-level. We’re as fresh as we are fun and as intelligent as we are imaginative. We believe that making seriously good food doesn’t have to be such serious business, and that’s what sets MOOYAH apart.”
Today, MOOYAH has 78 open restaurants in 21 different states, along with 20 locations operating in nine countries. The brand is building on that momentum in 2016, and will cross the rare milestone of 100 total units in August of 2016.
