After celebrating a banner year in 2012 with double-digit unit growth, MOOYAH is ringing in the New Year by announcing its newest restaurant opening in Rockwall, Tx.
MOOYAH is scheduled to open its newest corporate owned restaurant at 2825 Ridge Road in Rockwall, between I-30 Frontage Road and Farm to Market Road 3097, on Feb. 18. To celebrate the opening, the first 50 guests in line at the new MOOYAH on Saturday, Feb. 23 will receive free MOOYAH for a year, in the form of twelve free burger vouchers to enjoy throughout the year.
“MOOYAH prides itself on being a family friendly business, from the guests we serve to the franchisees who open restaurants with the goal of running them with family. We designed the restaurant concept with family in mind so everyone would feel welcome and comfortable. With Rockwall, we’re opening a MOOYAH with our corporate family, and we’re looking forward to running it together as a team,” said Bill Spae, the company’s new president and CEO who joined the MOOYAH family Jan. 7.
MOOYAH saw tremendous growth in the last several years, expanding from a Texas brand into an emerging national player as a leader in the growing better burger segment of fast casual dining. The brand is currently in 10 states and nearly doubled the number of restaurants from 25 to 48 in 2012. In 2013, MOOYAH plans to continue expansion and grow internationally, to total nearly 80 restaurants.
The restaurant chain continues to attract media attention. The brand earned a top restaurant award from DFW Child and cinched a spot in the finals for the Dallas Morning News’s Burger Madness Best Burger competition.
MOOYAH identified the community east of Dallas as the ideal home for the brand’s 23rd Dallas/Fort Worth area restaurant because of its higher-than-average growth rate, proximity to the metroplex and neighborhood environment. In 2011, Rockwall County was recognized by CNN Money as the number one county in the country for job creation; Family Circle also ranked Rockwall number one on its list of “10 Best Towns for Families.”
“MOOYAH began as a simple concept revolving around friendly people serving the freshest, most delicious burgers, fries, and shakes available. As our brand continues to expand, we are evolving that concept to include a wider array of choices to suit every guest’s individual tastes and favorites,” says Spae. “We look forward to expanding into Rockwall with this new restaurant and becoming an integral part of the community by bringing more than 20 new jobs, hosting community fundraising events and giving Rockwall residents a new neighborhood restaurant.”
