Popular bakery cafés encourage customers to Be A Good Cookie; 100% of corporate-raised funds will go directly to pediatric cancer research
It goes without saying that kids of all ages love Nestlé Toll House cookies. So it’s fitting that Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip dedicates a month every year to give back to its favorite, and bravest, customers in collaboration with the Cookies for Kids’ Cancer organization.
The partnership, which helps fund essential research grants for five of the nation’s leading pediatric cancer centers, kicks off its annual campaign on Tuesday, Sept. 1 – the beginning of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month – and runs through Oct. 4.
During this time, Nestlé Toll House Cafés by Chip across the country will encourage guests to Be a Good Cookie by making a donation to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, a national nonprofit organization that helps fund the development of less toxic, more effective treatments for children battling cancer. In exchange for a $1 donation, guests will receive a $1 coupon to be used on a subsequent visit to any Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip. Supporters may also make direct donations to the charity at https://supportcookiesforkidscancer.org/NestleCafeGoodCookies.
Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip has pledged that 100 percent of corporate-raised funds will go directly to funding pediatric cancer research grants. The popular bakery cafés have set a collective goal of raising $500 per location. If each café reaches its target, the campaign will raise more than $50,000.
“We have just finished celebrating our first 15 years as a café chain, and that wouldn’t have been possible without the loyal support of families all across the nation,” said Ziad Dalal, founder and president of Crest Foods, Inc., the franchisor of Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip. “So as we count our blessings, we also are dedicated to giving back to kids everywhere, who deserve to be healthy and happy. We hope everyone will stop by our cafés throughout September and make a donation to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, whether they purchase a treat or not. These special kids need our help, and this is a simple way for each of us to do our part.”
Founded in 2008, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer provides inspiration and support for individuals, businesses and organizations to raise money by hosting grassroots bake sales and other fundraising events. Since its beginning, 26 new pediatric cancer treatments have been developed, according to Gretchen Witt, Co-Founder of the charitable organization.
“Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip has become an invaluable partner of our organization, always going above and beyond in their support,” said Witt. “The company and its franchise partners have dedicated their time, energy and finances to our drive to eradicate childhood cancer, and with their help – and their guests’ support – we believe we can beat the leading disease killer of children in America.”
The premium dessert destination concept is built around the world’s most powerful food brand – Nestlé. Along with its universally loved Nestlé Toll House cookies and cookie cakes, the cafés serve brownies, smoothies, ice creams, cold drinks and Nescafé Milano coffee.

The organization inspires individuals, organizations, and businesses to join in the fight against pediatric cancer by raising the funds for new and improved and less toxic treatments.
