Jonesboro’s premier shopping mall welcomes state’s first bakery café
Shoppers from Jonesboro and beyond began revisiting the sweet tastes of childhood today, as the Mall at Turtle Creek welcomed Arkansas’ first Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip.
The popular bakery café serves up freshly baked cookies, premium Nescafe Milano coffee, smoothies, crepes and a wide array of other mouthwatering treats and lunchtime snacks. The Jonesboro location marks the 133rd café system-wide.
“The rush of back-to-school shopping is the perfect time to slow down and enjoy some sweet treats and a great cup of coffee,” said Shawnon Bellah, Senior Vice President of Global Operations for Nestlé Toll House Cafe.“We couldn’t have timed our Arkansas debut much better, and we know our café is going to be a very popular addition to the Mall at Turtle Creek and to the city of Jonesboro for a long time to come.”
The café is holding its grand opening celebration on August 14 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., featuring a ribbon cutting at 9:45 a.m. with the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Harold Perrin and State Representative Harold Copenhaver, as well as complimentary mini cookies.
Complete with its own comfortable seating area, the new storefront features digital menus displayed on eight LED screens and an upgraded design that showcases the brand’s distinctive product offerings in a more efficient and attractive manner.
With so many options to choose from already at the outlet mall, franchise operator John Williams said he couldn’t wait to add a new attraction specifically designed to satisfy every shopper’s sweet tooth.
“The opportunity to bring the best that Nestlé has to offer to my hometown is absolutely thrilling for me,” Williams said. “Nestlé Toll House Café has something for everyone, and with our refreshing smoothies and desserts, we’re the perfect respite for bustling shoppers.”
The premium dessert destination concept is built around the world’s most powerful food brand – Nestlé. Along with its universally loved Nestlé Toll House cookies and cookie cakes, the new café serves brownies, muffins, smoothies, ice creams, cold drinks and Nescafé Milano coffee.
The café is also a great lunch option thanks to its savory, made-to-order crepes, featuring everything from smoky bacon to egg and cheese to chipotle chicken, chocolate-dipped strawberries and more. Other delicious meal options include salads, wraps and Panini sandwiches.
The Mall at Turtle Creek is located at 3000 E. Highland Dr., with the new café situated in the mall’s food court. Café hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
