Bakery café now open, set to host grand opening celebration on Sept. 27
Its aroma is unmistakable, its taste positively decadent. The mouthwatering allure of chocolate chip cookies has been a cornerstone of American culture thanks to generations of mothers and grandmothers who served them up with love.
And thanks to Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip, kids of all ages in Mesquite started reliving those warm childhood memories last week at Town East Mall.
The bakery café, which marks the brand’s seventh location in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, specializes in serving up freshly baked cookies, smoothies, ice cream and a wide array of other delectable treats. The new storefront location will hold a special grand opening celebration on Saturday, Sept. 27, featuring cookie giveaways and other tasty surprises.
While this may be Town East Mall’s first taste of Nestlé-baked bliss, franchise owner Venkata Kanyaboyina of Aster Food LLC has been the go-to host of sweet escapes in Dallas since his first café opened at Collin Creek Mall in Plano back in February 2013. Now with a second location to call home, Kanyaboyina couldn’t wait to offer even more variety to Town East shoppers thanks to Nestlé’s premium coffees and tasty sit-down meal options. Customers can also place orders online for cookies and cookie cakes wrapped and ready for giving at nestlecafe.com.
“Being able to introduce the best that Nestlé has to offer in Mesquite has been just as much a thrill for me as it was last year at Collin Creek. Having the pleasure of seeing firsthand the joy this brand brings to shoppers and mall employees alike is just, well, icing on the cookie cake!” Kanyaboyina said. “I’m proud to specialize in providing sweet, indulgent escapes, and thanks to our delicious lunch menu, I encourage the shoppers here at Town East to linger a little longer.”
The premium dessert destination concept is built around the world’s most powerful food brand – Nestlé. Along with its universally loved Nestlé Toll House cookies and cookie cakes, the new café serves brownies, muffins, smoothies, ice creams, cold drinks and Nescafé Milano coffee. The café is also a great lunch option, thanks to its made-to-order crepes, wraps and Panini sandwiches.
Complete with its own comfortable seating area, the café features digital menus displayed on six LED screens and an upgraded design that showcases the brand’s distinctive product offerings in a more efficient and attractive manner.
“Every new café opening is an exciting one, and it seems as if North Texas shoppers can’t get enough of our freshly baked Nestlé Toll House cookies, as well as the many other tasty treats our cafés have to offer,” said Shawnon Bellah, senior vice president of global operations for Nestlé Toll House Cafe. “Needless to say, we’ve been looking forward to including the popular Town East Mall in our continuing expansion. Venkata has been committed to charting new territory around the Metroplex since Day One, and his warm and friendly customer service has become a tremendous asset to our company.”
Town East Mall is located at 2063 Town East Mall, with the Nestlé Toll House Café situated in space #2152 next to Sears. The café marks the 23rd in the state of Texas and the 136th system-wide. Café hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
