The Dairy Queen system has opened a new location at 8855 Teal Parkway in Frisco. The 2,900-square-foot DQ Restaurant has added 45 new jobs in the area, contributing to the employment growth in Texas. The new restaurant also will contribute to the state’s restaurant sales, which according to the National Restaurant Association, are projected to increase by 4.1 percent this year.
“We are excited to open the Frisco DQ Restaurant and welcome the community in to enjoy our full menu of cravable food items and cool treats,” said restaurant operator Richard Witherspoon, who has been a Dairy Queen franchisee for 40 years. “This new restaurant is sure to be a place where families and friends can gather to share smiles and stories over a great meal and treats.”
This will be the second location in Frisco and the fifth DQ location for Wetherspoon.
An Array of Menu Options
The DQ Restaurant concept blends the best of DQ iconic history with the most modern innovations in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry. The Texas Country Foods menu features the quarter- and half-pound Hungr-Buster made to order with premium flavor options, as well as other delicious and unique food items, including Texas T-Brand Tacos. Grilled and Crispy Chick’n Sandwiches, Steak Sandwiches and the Chick’n Strip or Steak Finger Country Basket also are available for either lunch or dinner. The new restaurant also will feature all of the DQ treat favorites, such as the iconic Blizzard Treats, MooLatté frozen coffee-flavored beverages, Blizzard Cakes and a wide variety of other soft-serve items.
Design and Décor
The DQ Restaurant interior brings an innovative dimension to QSR dining. The restaurant features comfortable booths and large wooden tables, warm lighting, music and an overall inviting environment. The restaurant can seat 76 guests.
