New Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers Opens in Copperfield

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers has celebrated the grand opening of the chain’s newest Copperfield location in the Northwest Houston area with a series of activities, which included free chicken and the presentation of a $1,000 check to the Citizens for Animal Protection.

Upon the public opening of its newest location in Copperfield, the chicken finger chain gave its first 100 dine-in customers a Raising Cane’s commemorative T-shirt and a Box Combo gift certificates. The opening ceremony also kicked off the restaurant’s Give Back Giveaway where the winner can donate $1,000 to his or her favorite local charity, in addition to receiving Free Cane’s for a Year.

“Thanks to the warm support of the community, Raising Cane’s is opening its second location in the Northwest Houston area,” said BJ Mitchell, general manager. “We’re excited to get to know our neighbors and become active members of the Copperfield-area community.”

As part of their pre-opening day community service and team building program, Mitchell and his new Raising Cane’s crew members volunteered last Friday at Special Pals Animal Adoption Center, where they helped build and repair kennels. Among its active community involvement initiatives, Raising Cane’s has a tradition of participating in community service projects in the local community prior to the restaurant opening.

To celebrate the opening day, a representative of the Citizens for Animal Protection joined the ceremony, and was presented with a $1,000 donation check which largely consists of the proceeds generated through the 2011 holiday-themed plush puppy mascot sale in Houston.

The new Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is located at 6015 Hwy. 6 N., near Rave Cinema off of W. Little York. The restaurant will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to midnight.

With the opening of this location, Raising Canes has 120 restaurants representing 16 states. In Texas, there are 28 Raising Cane’s restaurants, with now seven locations in the greater Houston-area and more under construction.

For the fifth consecutive year, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers was recently honored as one of the top quick-service restaurant chains in the country for customer satisfaction according to Sandelman & Associates’ Quick-Track study released earlier this month. The chain placed second for best overall service among 150 restaurants studied and was the highest-rated restaurant company for temperature of food, accuracy in filling orders, and cleanliness of restaurants.

The company has ONE LOVE – quality chicken finger meals – and an expanding fan base of “Caniacs” devoted to the company’s signature fresh-never-frozen chicken fingers and popular secret sauce. With a consistent brand focus on its ONE LOVE, customer service and on supporting the communities in which it serves, Raising Cane’s has earned its place as a front-runner in the competitive quick service restaurant segment.
