College Station residents now have a second Raising Cane’s restaurant in the area at which to satisfy their chicken finger cravings. Today’s grand opening of the new Post Oak Mall location was celebrated with a series of festivities and attended by Mayor Nancy Berry, members of the College Station Chamber of Commerce and Kaboom, mascot of the Brazos Valley Bombers.
In light of the exciting occasion, Raising Cane’s gave its first 100 customers a commemorative T-shirt and Box Combo meal voucher to use for a future visit. Today also kicked off the restaurant’s Give Back Giveaway grand opening tradition where customers can register for the chance to donate $1,000 to his or her favorite local charity, in addition to receiving Free Cane’s for a Year. Raising Cane’s customers can enter at the Post Oak Mall location through May 2.
“We are so grateful to everyone, including the mayor, who came out today to wish Raising Cane’s a warm welcome,” said Joe Steed, general manager. “We’re excited to strengthen our presence in College Station and continue to grow with this passionate community.”
Last Friday, Steed and his new Raising Cane’s crew members volunteered their time at Goodwill to help sort donated clothing. As part of its commitment to giving back to the community, Raising Cane’s makes it a priority to participate in a community service project before each new restaurant opening.
The new Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is located inside the Post Oak Mall Food Court in College Station. The restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Post Oak Mall location is the second Raising Cane’s in the College Station area and the 32nd in Texas. In part to the chicken finger chain’s aggressive expansion across Texas this year, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers was named one of the fastest growing restaurant companies in the U.S. according to a new industry trend analysis by Technomic. Raising Cane’s now has a total of 124 restaurants in 16 states with new restaurants under construction.
In addition, Raising Cane’s was recently honored as one of the top quick-service restaurant chains in the country for customer satisfaction by a Sandelman & Associates’ Quick-Track study, for the fifth consecutive year. The restaurant placed second for best overall service among 150 restaurants studied and was the highest-rated restaurant company for temperature of food, accuracy in filling orders, and cleanliness of restaurants.
