New Small Plate Restaurant, Harry’s Grille & Tavern, Brings Major Flavor to Southwest Charlotte

The Town of Ayrsley has announced Southwest Charlotte’s newest restaurant, Harry’s Grille & Tavern, which is set to open mid-March. Harry’s will offer fresh, upscale food, intriguing beverage choices and friendly service in an innovative atmosphere designed to enhance the dining experience.

“Southwest Charlotte and the Steel Creek community are ready for a unique dining option,” says Charles Hodges, President of New Forum and developer of the majority of the commercial buildings within Ayrsley.

“Harry’s brings diners back to simpler times when the atmosphere was calm, the service hospitable and the food impeccable. Named after the friendliest person I know and just like him, this Harry will never let you down,” says Tyler Birchfield, Operating Manager for the group that owns Harry’s and Area General Manager of the Ayrsley Hilton branded hotels.

Guests of Harry’s Grille & Tavern may choose traditional seating, tavern seating or enjoy a soft seating area with a plush lounge feel. Diners will have the option to share an assortment of small plates, salads and for the superior appetite, full entrees. A meticulously designed “top-shelf burger” will also be available.

A recent tasting was given by Harry’s to some lucky employees of Ayrsley and the reviews were phenomenal. The tasting consisted of Harry‘s crab cakes with wasabi Dijon aioli over apple Asian slaw, Seared salmon over mixed greens , Grilled chicken breast with roasted Red Bliss potatoes along with various desserts. All items were prepared by Executive Chef, Keith Roybal.

“I’m inspired by fresh ingredients and how they can impact your palate. Harry’s only uses fresh ingredients including high-quality, humane and organic meats which leads to high-quality taste,” says Roybal.

Roybal is a graduate from The New York Restaurant School and was chef of The Porterhouse Grille and Chris Michaels Steakhouse both located in New Jersey.

“I’ve been in this business for quite some time and have never seen a restaurant so primed for success prior to the doors opening, largely in part to the location within Ayrsley. Harry’s will attract hotel guests, movie goers, residents of the Steele Creek Community and employees from the major businesses surrounding us. ” says Jeffery Miller.

Miller, a graduate of Ohio University, will take the helm as General Manager. Miller spent nine years as an operating partner for Manzetti’s Tavern at South Park.
