Detroit fans now have two spots to get their wing fix. Wingstop, which opened its first restaurant in the state of Michigan last month, is now open in Livonia, Mich. at 28517 Schoolcraft Road.
The 540-unit wing chain features traditional and boneless wings, chicken strips and Glider sandwiches – all sauced and tossed in 10 original flavors. Homemade side dishes include fresh cut seasoned fries, made daily from Idaho potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, veggie sticks and house made ranch and bleu cheese dips.
“We’re excited to introduce the Livonia community to Wingstop,” said Andrew Elliott, who owns the location. “There really aren’t any other wing restaurants in the area that just cater to serving the best, fresh, made-to-order wings. We can’t wait for guests to try us out and see why we’re the wing experts.”
Elliott is planning a grand opening for January, which will include a sampling day that invites the community to taste Wingstop’s award-winning wings for free.
“We’re already gearing up for our grand opening next month,” added Elliott. “Once you try Wingstop, you crave it. So we’re excited to invite guests to join us and get five free boneless or classic wings.”
The Livonia opening is thanks to one of three recent development agreements that will result in multiple restaurants in the area, including a restaurant scheduled to open next year in Warren and two new stores in Detroit.
