Denver-based The Egg & I Restaurants announces the opening of its 55th restaurant on Monday, April 16th. The restaurant opens at 6:00 a.m., and is located in the Taylor Plaza at 4901 Expressway 83, approximately 1 mile west of South Ware Road.
On April 15th, the restaurant will donate 100% of all proceeds from its private, pre-opening training day to the United Way of South Texas. The mission of the United Way is to provide leadership and resources that make a measurable positive difference in people’s lives. “The United Way of South Texas touches more than 200,000 residents in Hidalgo and Starr counties each year, and this event will help us meet critical needs. We are very excited that The Egg & I Restaurant has chosen to hold a fundraiser to support our organization,” said Thelma M. Garza, President of the United Way of South Texas.
