Newk’s Franchise Team Begins San Antonio Area Expansion with New Braunfels Location
Newk’s Eatery franchisee and fourth-generation New Braunfels native Stephen Kuehler is bringing fresh, fast and flavorful dining onto the New Braunfels food scene with the city’s first Newk’s restaurant. The fast-casual brand known for its gourmet-inspired menu will be opening its doors Friday, September 4, in the New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside at 11 a.m.
“Newk’s Eatery is bringing to New Braunfels the best of both worlds— fresh, made-from-scratch meals delivered at an exceptionally fast pace,” said Newk’s franchisee Stephen Kuehler. “The first time my wife and I ate at Newk’s, it took only six minutes for our food to be cooked to order and delivered to our table. The quality, flavor and convenience we experienced blew us away.”
The New Braunfels location is the first of three Newk’s restaurants currently scheduled to open in North San Antonio and the surrounding area under Kuehler’s franchise agreement. The franchise team includes both Stephen and his wife, Kim, who is an 18-year New Braunfels resident and school teacher. Stephen joined Newk’s earlier this year with nearly three decades of branding, product development and marketing experience in the food industry throughout the U.S. and Europe.
“Our partnership with Newk’s began with a sincere passion for the brand,” said Stephen Kuehler. “After our memorable Newk’s experience, we knew we wanted to introduce Newk’s Eatery to our hometown and neighboring areas in South Texas. We believe Newk’s healthy options, warm atmosphere and culinary-driven menu will speak to New Braunfels, as they did to us.”
Newk’s Creekside restaurant will be located at 2975 Town Center Drive, Suite 100, and will offer seating in its approximately 4,300 square-foot space for 150 guests, along with patio seating for nearly 40 more. The restaurant will provide job opportunities for around 70 applicants in the area.
At Newk’s, there is something for everyone to enjoy from the restaurant’s diverse menu of fresh-tossed salads, artisan pizzas, hot toasted sandwiches and made-from-scratch soups and desserts. Newk’s signature menu items are meticulously handcrafted with rigorously selected fresh ingredients and served tableside in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The fast casual restaurant delivers lunch to the table or to the office with its robust catering service and offers guests flavorful meals on the go with its convenient Grab-N-Go and online ordering options.
