Fall Lineup Spotlights Scratch-Made Desserts from Newk’s Company-Owned Bakery
Newk’s Eatery is taking the cake with its new fall menu, which includes a mouthwatering mix of decadent desserts and re-invented classics. The fast-casual restaurant chain— known for its signature brand of fresh, flavorful dining— is leading off its fall lineup with new, made-from-scratch desserts, featuring a six-layer German Chocolate Cake and Whoopie Pies in red velvet and chocolate varieties. Newk’s fall entrée features include the Newk’s “Q” Pizza, Arugula Salmon Salad and the continuation of the Pesto Chicken Salad Sandwich, which are now available across Newk’s more than 80 restaurants.
“Our fall menu is an enticing mix of the sweet and the savory,” said Alan Wright, Newk’s Eatery’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Our rich, home-baked desserts will speak to people’s fall cravings for sweet comfort foods and are made using proprietary recipes passed down through Newk’s founding family for generations. This fall, Newk’s is also spotlighting entrées that take traditional food favorites to another level with a creative culinary eye that’s become Newk’s signature.”
Cakes made from scratch in Newk’s very own company bakery headline this year’s fall menu lineup. Crafted with semi-sweet dark chocolate and Grade A butter and eggs, Newk’s German Chocolate Cake features rich chocolate cake layered with an irresistible mix of pecan-coconut frosting— six times over. Newk’s dessert menu will be expanding further with an All-American favorite: the whoopie pie. The delicious hybrid of a cookie, pie and cake, Newk’s homemade whoopie pies are made with creamy vanilla filling sandwiched in between two pieces of indulgent chocolate or red velvet cake.
Newk’s is also serving up classic entrée favorites with a twist, highlighting the Newk’s “Q” Pizza—a take-off of the hugely popular Newk’s “Q” sandwich. Pulling inspiration from its sandwich counterpart, the Newk’s “Q” Pizza showcases Newk’s one-of-a-kind white BBQ sauce, layered with flame-grilled chicken breast, Applewood smoked bacon, Roma tomatoes, jalapenos and house-shredded mozzarella and provolone cheeses. It’s all baked on hand-rolled pizza dough, brushed with chili oil. The Pesto Chicken Salad Sandwich from the Newk’s summer menu will be kept on through the fall by popular demand. The sandwich features Newk’s signature Chicken Salad infused with basil pesto and served on oven-toasted French bread with provolone cheese, lettuce and tomato.
For guests with healthy eating in mind, Newk’s will be bringing back the Arugula Salmon Salad— a salad packed with premium protein and vitamin-rich arugula. Hailed as a cancer-fighting “supergreen,” fresh arugula will be tossed with sweet grape tomatoes, Parmesan cheese and Newk’s house-made lemon basil vinaigrette, topped with flame-grilled salmon that is cooked fresh daily. Two additional premium protein salads that debuted earlier this year are becoming permanent additions to Newk’s menu due to their overwhelming success — the Ahi Tuna Salad and the Shrimp & Avocado Salad.
Guests can enjoy Newk’s German Chocolate Cake for $3.45 per slice, and a whoopie pie for $3.45. Newk’s Pesto Chicken Salad and Newk’s “Q” Pizza will each be priced at $7.99, while the Arugula Salmon Salad will be available for $11.99. Additionally, Newk’s Ahi Tuna Salad will be sold for $12.99 and the Shrimp and Avocado Salad for $10.99.
