North Richland Hills Community Herds To Dickey’s Barbecue

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is throwing a smokin’ celebration on Friday, June 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In honor of the grand opening event Dickey’s will be serving $1 pulled pork sandwiches.

“Before we opened, North Richland Hills was really lacking a great barbecue place,” said franchise owner Shawn Boedecker. “We are excited to be serving our authentic mouthwatering barbecue to this great community.”

Shawn grew up in Lewisville and his wife Beth is from Middletown, New Jersey. This new location is the fifth Dickey’s for the couple. The Boedeckers own and operate Dickey’s Barbecue in Roanoke, Hurst, Bedford and the North Fort Worth location on Blue Mound Road.

At the event Dickey’s will announce three winners of free barbecue for a year. Dickey’s is located at 5209 Rufe Snow and is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

“Shawn is an enthusiastic owner who runs a great restaurant,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We are excited to see his continued expansion across Texas.”

Since 1941, the world’s largest barbecue franchise has offered free kids meals every Sunday and affordable family packs designed to bring the whole family together for dinner. Family packs come with a choice of two meats, three medium sides, six rolls and Dickey’s famous barbecue sauce.
